hello, i am not sure what head unit to get, the apline iva-d31- or the panasonic CQ-VD7700U i like them both just not sure which would be the best or more bang for the buck! would appreciate all and everyone's input, thanks, and if anyone needs brembo rotors, please let me know!

Alpine makes good quality head units, and has done so for many more years than Panasonic.

I have had my current HU for 4 years and the one before that for 6 years. Both were Alpine and I've never a problem with anything, which includes the motorized face.

A few of my friends have bought Panasonic HU and have had problems with almost all of them.

My two cents.

 

Stick with Alpine, great units!!!

 

Get the newest JVC/DUAL In-dash screen. ;) YOu'll be impressed.

Panasonic is kind of hit or miss in the quality department. Alpine is a great brand.

 

do you have hookups or know of anyone that does?

if you need brembo rotors i can hook you up!

 

I ONLY use Alpine and NEVER had a problem with it.

CLARION is the ____.... i have the new 7inch touchscreen indash dvd headunit and i ____in love it... the touchscreen ipod control feature alone beats out any other unit.

yup that is what i am saying..i had a friend that went through two alpine unit because the motor for the screen broke ..twice! every Clarion unit i have had has never failed me and that has been 4 different models now. everyone has their own opinion but when the retail on the clarion is only $1400 and the retail on the alpine is probably over $2000 for pretty much all the same features i went with the clarion so that i would have extra money to get the 13.3 inch flip down monitor that i have.
