Default Amp and sub question

I was given a Alpine MRO-M300 mono amp and I'm thinking of adding this to my box
Now my question is what is a good 10"/12" speaker that will work with this amp.
I believe it is 150Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms and 300Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms.
And what air space for a sealed box?
Not looking for a show quality speaker just one that will work good.

Thanks for looking,Scott

Here are two options that will match up to your amp pretty well, and they are both Kicker's so they will sound very good. They are a little expensive, but worth every cent you pay for them and they come with there own pretuned box.

hey man i just bought the same amp. its actually 200w rms at 4 ohms and 350 at 2 ohms. i bought a phoenix gold octane 12" sub off of sounddomain for it to push. the octane is 350 rms so i think it should match up great and i've heard PG's products are top notch.

Sorry you only want one sub here is a few single's that would match up good and give nice tight bass.

Thanks for the ideas,I am going to build my own enclosure as to where it will be mounted so the shape wont be right but would like to get the volume right.

yeah, just go to Circuit city/best buy and get a sub (suggest 12" Alpine, audiobahn, kicker, infinity, etc..) that can be wired to two ohms (dual 4 ohm voice coils preferably). Once you have a sub, build/buy your box based on the sub specs. In general a 10-12" sub should have roughly 1 cu. ft. or airspace, give or take. I'd say, just make a 12x12x12" enclosure.

any more questions?

Would it make much difference if the box is 12"X24"X6"?
I can go big but I need it to be as flat as possible as long as the sub fits.

kicker or alpine type-r , hands down. and go with a ported box , a sealed box sounds good, but a ported box will make one sub sound like 2 subs if built correctly.

I would recommend one of the following 10" subs.

Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 (Dual-4 Ohm, 300 WRMS)
Diamond Audio DS10d4 (Dual-4 Ohm, 200 WRMS)
Image Dynamics IDQ10d4 V.2 (Dual-4 Ohm, 300 WRMS)

These are all shallow mount style subwoofers that are known for their value and sound quality. They should also match up quite well with your amp as long as you have the gain set properly.

Then I would install it in something like the Elegonics QD-XB-DF enclosure. You end up with a very stealth install. And you get a decent amount of bass, as well as good sound quality. I recently purchased the Elegonics enclosure, the 11Kv.2 sub, and an ED NINe.2 amp from Elegonics and will be installing it this weekend. I will try and get some pictures of the install when I am done as well as a review of how it sounds when I am finished.
