Default amping the stock system

I'm sorry if this is a repost, I am new here, and am stupid when it comes to A/V, But I was wondering if it is possible to ad amps to the stock HU. I have the 6 disc and Bazooka tube. If this is possible, please help.

it is possible, you will need a reverse harness as well as a standard radio install harness... metra part numbers 71-1761. and 70-1761 and two high low adapters...

this is to amplify the stock speakers correct?

Yes, for the stock speakers. I was going to run it all stock, until I blow something up, then I plan to replace it all with good stuff. What is a metra harness?

all you need to amp your factory system is buy a line out put converter. you pull out your fatory cd player tap the the front left and right speaker wire then you could plug your rca in to the end of the line out put converter . hook up you amp and run wires to each speaker (best way) or run wires back to to the factory harness and connect you amp wires to your speakers through the factory harness look at the top of this forum for the wiring color code.

it's a plug that connects to your factory harness so you don't alter the factory harness... not totally necessary but adds to a cleaner removal of a system if you ever want to remove it...
