Well I wanted to replace the shifter boot in my xB. talked to my mom who sews, and she said she'll give it a try. I used black suede, to match the headliner and pillars, and I think it came out great.
my mom made a cover that sliped over the factory shifter boot to make sure it would fit so that we didn't cut the factory boot and be stuck if something didn't fit. after test fit, everything looked fine, so I cut the factory boot out and we are left with this:

I really like it. hats off to my mom for doing great work.

Billy, that's funny you would say that. I am going to talk to her about how hard it would be to do the boot on a bigger scale.
I try to get my mom to do all kinds of sewing but her sewing machine can only do thin fabrics.
I have my own sweat shop soon so I can mass produce these and everyone on ScionLife can have a new shifter boot! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (evil music as Violent B takes over the world)

 

Bill tell your mom she needs to get a surger (i beleive thats what it is called), thats what my mother-inlaw uses to sew heavy material, it is bad to the bone. OMG to violent_b taking over the world, there's gonna be midgets and monkeys everywhere.

if I had to sew it the boot would of been held together with duct tape or super glue. thank goodness my mom can sew.
