any one wire there radar detector to head liner lights?

Thanks for all the help, I still could use a little more though, i still havent gotten the headliner "button panel" off.
i tried to locate the push clips on the side they didnt seem to loosen it much, oh well until then my detecter sits on the dash
thanx again and if you have any more ideas i can use all the tips you got :mrgreen:

if it's the same unit as they use in the Lexus(map lights with moon roof controls) you just pop the cover, and there should be three screws visible (one of which is used to ground all the connections, btw). . . I'm not that familiar with the tC's interior, but Lexus/Toyota does share parts, and I've seen the piece I'm talking about in quite a few Toyota's, so I assume it's the same piece.

y i know what your talking about my 97 tercel had a light that was similar but farther towards the back seat,
this one has no visible screws or wires when i take the light cover off, ive tried pulling softly and looking with a flash light to see whats up there and can oassume that the only thing holding it are two push on plastic "buttons" they look like one time use kinda thing.
ill try again tonight or this weekend when i have some spare time
