Anyone Install Scion Under dash/seat lighting?
My wife wanted the Scion under-dash/seat lighting and I started working on it this past weekend. The dealer I purchased it from (over the internet) didn't send me all of the parts, but I thought I would do what I could.
The problem I'm running into is where to the "clips" that mount under the back of the seats go? The black and white photos in the instructions aren't that clear.
Now I know why the option is so costly at the dealer! It's a pain to install this stuff!

It is not that bad...that back clips are actually quite easy to install once you figure them out...
Remove the fabric from the seat right where the fabric turns from nice to cheap (the thin flimsy stuff). You do not need to totally remove the fabric just pull it towards the center of the seat...there is a square hole with foam showing through that you insert the clip into...
Only thing is, that it is a pain to keep your hand and head straight while under the seat....I ended up sitting upside down with my feet in the air and my head under the seat...sounds crazy...but it works...let me know if you need to know anything else...

I got my blue cathode Lighting from Randode and they look great. It took me about 45 minutes to install the instructions are great and very easy to install.
I used the Zip ties that was provided with my kit and placed the underseat lighting using the "ring" thats under the fabric....same place that is used with Clip provided with the Scion kit!
Did I mentioned that it was only $100 and they are much brighther than the stock ligh kit???
I will try to take pics!
