Anyone tried a kit like this for adding a sub?
Just came across this on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION...QQcmdZViewItem
looks like a great thing... anyone had any experience with one of these and/or know a good place to buy one? I always feel better buying on ebay or wherever if someone else can personally recommend a seller or whatever...
Anyway.. i think im gonna pick one up just so I dont have to do any splicing in the existing wiring... as I assume if something went wrong the dealer would prolly give me a hard time on warranty or something.
I dunno.. just lookin for feedback.

Heard back from the guy who makes these... he's a really cool dude.
anyway... paid him $73 through paypal which includes shipping. better price than his ebay auction which is cool...
got the subplug2 with the 8 gauge install kit...
my 800w amp is already under the passenger side seat waiting for wring... the 2 12s are in the far back waiting for their wiring... CANT WAIT! this is gonna bounce my lil box off the friggin road!
anyway... when it comes in i plan to do a nice photo walkthrough from teardown to finishing...
so excited about having bass in my box!
heres a pic of the subs cuz i just cant resist...

links to my scion photo gallery.

UPDATE:
So apparently that $73 includes next day delivery! This guy rocks! same day shipping and overnight via DHL from Cali to Ohio... so this means that I get to hook my baby up over the weekend!
I plan to take photos of every step and will post as soon as its all done.

So... everything is installed...
SOUNDS AWESOME!
hopefully all my pics came out well and I can post the install here soon... taking my time and lots of pictures with one short break for the rain... the whole thing took just under 3 hours...

Just go tot he toyota/scion dealer. they have a harness made for the scions. i put it in my car and it works perfectly. and it aint no 73 bucks. just go to the parts dept. and ask for a radio harness to hook up a sub to your scion. pure money
you got it free? if not... what did it cost you?
thats cool. most of the $73 went to the other wires and whatnot in the kit i think... i priced out some of the quality wiring before i ordered and I think i may have actually saved a buck or two on the stuff besides the actual sub-plug

So I finally got some of the pics/walkthrough up...
havent really finished writing it but you can see the first 2 steps here...

tried to dake as many pics as possible...
this may come in handy for other people working in the dash... Ive heard some people complain about getting the dash to come off easily... I think its simple but maybe mine was more loose than others... I dunno.
Anyway... Ill finish the walkthrough soon... with more pics... trying to find time between work... freelance... and of course washing my car daily ;)

same kinda thing?
this was the first one I heard good things about so i figured id try it out...
that price included all the wiring for the whole project in this case... power lines.... rca... all the little connectors and crimp bits... the fuse holder and fuse... etc.
i wouldnt know which would be the better deal, but Im damn pleased with what I got

I actually bought the same one you did off ebay well over a year ago, and I'm perfectly satisfied as well. His ebay name is euro works, but the header on the instructions in the kit is NorCalScions (and on the CD too, which he sent me even though I didn't use 'buy it now' - good for testing your bass). There's a link to the NCS site in the ebay ad which I checked out too, so I figured this was a stand up operation - and I feel it was. I have the Bazooka NOS8A sub that looks like a nitrous bottle, and it works great. (pics in my profile, too lazy to post here)
