Default AVIC-F700BT install???

I have just bought an 05 xa and have a AVIC-F700BT I want to install please can anyone help by answering the questions below

1. How do I remove the original unit do I need Pioneer "keys" to slide either side to release

2. Do I need to buy a cage to fit

3. Will it connect to the original wiring if so what wires do I use to pick up the spped sensor

4. Will I need a facia plate to fill in any gaps when the unit is fitted

5. How easy is it to bypass the in motion settings built into the unit

Thanks in advance this is my 1st post on here and any help will be appreciated!

1st post eh? Maybe you should start be reading the site rules, and then second that by posting in the proper area, then maybe you'll get some help.

Enjoy the site. I'll come back in a couple of days and answer your questions.

EDIT: sorry if that sounds rude, but it's the truth and we get alot of n00bs.

Don't worry about it too much...

Anyway, to answer your question, you don't need a key to remove the old HU... I'm not super familiar with the xA interior, but if you search for xA headunit removal, I'm sure you'll find something useful.

Okay, once it's removed, you'll need a dashkit, most likely.
You'll also need a harness for the HU to easily mate to the stock wiring harness.

Not sure about a bypass for this one, but generally, it involves moving a wire from one pin to the other, not rocket science, but it's different for each unit. Search for a F700BT bypass either here or on Google, it should lead you in the right direction.

As far as where you originally posted, you'll get more help if you post in the specific areas of the site (this would've ideally been posted in xA/xB ICE & Interior, rather than the Southeast region forum. It's been moved there now.

Good luck!
