bB bench front seat...where to get it?
Anybody either have them or know where I could find the seats out of a true JDM bB (front and back so they match) I saw in one of the japanese commercials posted on here that they have a benched seat in the front...I want those seats BAD.

The JDM models have a column shifter and a pedal ebrak if I remember correctly. You'd have to do some fabing to get the bench seat to work right. I've been thinking about this since I got the B two years ago. There was one at NOPI in ATL, but I wasn't there and I heard it was ok looking. But IDK about the NOPI thing,

i just did some googling and you guys are correct about the column shift and pedal e-brake... that sucks. I don't have the time and definately not the $ to go through all that just for a bench seat. It was worth a shot though.

one of these days when I'm down in Stafford I gotta check out your B. I'll probably be there around xmas time, visiting GF's parents and such. BTW one of my buddies was telling me that an ol toyota p/u might have a good donor seat. Next time i'm up at a junk yard it might help. Also there is the custom 60/40 seat like in a 93 Cadillac Fleetwood. Build around the ebrake instead of moving it. I know it's work but you can always figure things out while doing other stuff lol.

you can easily keep the shifter on the floor. the e brake is a lil different. you gotta extend cables and place it further up , under the seat , or make a foot activasted one , or something.

You might want to read up before switching to the foot mounted parking brake (as this configuration is oft called).

"While both hand-operated systems and foot-operated system serve for parking brakes, the hand-operated systems are more useful in other situations. Hand-operated brake can be used for assistance in starting on steep inclines in manual transmission cars, which is more difficult with the foot-operated parking brake. In addition, with the centrally placed handle (but not the dashboard-mounted type handle), the brake can be easily activated either by the driver or passenger (if the driver were to become unconscious, for instance) in case of an emergency. The centrally placed handle is also preferred for initiating handbrake turns, as the release button can be held down to prevent the brake from latching; this is very difficult with the foot pedal operated configuration."
