Default Best Flip Out HU for <1000?

Hey guys, I don't know jack shizzy about A/V stuff for cars--But I was just wondering what in your opinion would be the best In dash LCD HU with the basics like MP3/DVD/CD/Radio etc.

I saw the new Pioneer AVIC N1--Drooooooooooooooooooool...but too rich more my blood! I'm looking at something sub 1000 but still kickass. Thanks!

*EDIT* sorry--meant to say "Flip Out" In dash LCD.

The N1 goes for about 1650, a great deal if you want all the stuff it has.

Go look at the Pioneer AVH-P6400. It goes for about $560, and you can get a cheap under-seat DVD Player for sub-$100.

This is a great looking unit--although I don't really need a touchscreen--and having one without touch would lower the price, i hope.

Let's see what I need...MP3/CD/Radio/DVDPlayback and Flipout LCD. Also, a detachable face would be ideal as well. How are offerings from Clarion/Kenwood/Pioneer/Alpine as far as something like that goes...looking ideally at 6-700 for a non touch screen one.

The IVA-D900 has a detachable face. The bottom part detaches and makes the unit pretty much useless with out it. I think you would have to download the manual to see a picture or go to a shop that has one. I'm not sure what other Alpine models have that feature but I don't see why the IVA-D300 would not have it....
You can download the owners manual from the Alpine-USA website.

The pioneer AVHP-8DVD retails for 1000 as well, dvd/cd/mp3/touchsreen, awesome bang for the buck, but the only drawback, is that it doesn't have a built in amplifier...

The IVA-D900 Spectrum Analyzer

Closed but still playing

The brain....

Sorry for the picture quality.....I only have a camera phone....
I paid just at $1,000.00 for mine and it has done what I want it to do. My only complaint is that it is a little slow when it switches screens. The picture quality in my opinion is unsurpassed in the car audio industry....over 1 million pixles in a 7" screen.

Touchscreen lcd ~300 (much higher resolution than an all in one unit will have)
computer ~700

You get mp3s (as many as you can fit on the hard drive), navigation, dvds, obd2 monitoring, etc, etc.

Jason, I am selling mine for 500...should be 550 but it has a few scratches on the face (not the screen)

7" Performance Teknique motorized flip out monitor with AM/FM
Icon TV mp3/dvd/cd/cd-r/cd-rw
Performance Teknique TV tuner

Looks awesome and its black so people don't even notice it sealed up. It's two din sized units. Comes with the 2 remotes and the instructions.
