didn't a newer passport come out? anyways thats the way to go valentine hasn't been changed since early 90s so its out of date somewhat.

You can a radar/ laser detector only. Laser and radar scramblers are illegal, and will get you into alot of trouble. I would suggest either the V1, or the Passport 8500 x50, both of these are 100% legal to have in the car, and both of these actually work.

Well some of what you said is true, the latest Passport is the 8500 x50, and is better than the 8500 due to pop protection. The info that was false was the V1 has actually been changed since the 90's not in its physical case, but in the program. It now offers pop protection. So either way your perfectly protected by either one of those 2 protectors.

yup if you read their site... they offer upgrades to keep the radar detector fresh and non-obsolete. Which gives them my vote... except for the fact it costs 400 bucks and looks like a beast... I like their remote display thing... now if they only had remote front/rear sensors...
