In terms of bang for the buck, I would go with Alpine type-R. I have a single 10" type-R and it sounds amazing. Even better than my 2 - 12" alpine type-E

Subs... Several companies come to mind... JL Audio, Adire Audio, Resonant Engineering, Image Dynamics, Treo Designs, Elemental Designs, Alumapro, Memphis's MoJo line, just to name a few. Still, it'd be best to know your budget, how much power you're going to be driving them with, what type(s) of music you listen to, the budget, etc... Then I'd be more inclined to give a more specific recommendation.

I have 2 12 w3s with 300w going to each. Its gona bang pretty hard if/when i get the tC.. decent sq too. I kinda wish i wouldve picked up a 12w6v2 though.. wouldve spent the same amount in the end.

depends on how much you want to spend.

IMO you cant go wrong with JL w7's.
alpine type-X, DD's, infiniti perfects, and some others that i cant think of

As far as overall quality subs, JL is on top. But also very pricy.
Kicker solobaric subs are nice, but also very pricy.

If your on a budget and looking for a nice compromise id say audiobahn sound q subs are a good bet. I have 2 tens and they play plenty loud for me. audiobahn also has a wide range of subs to fit your specific parameters.

Also mtx are reasonably priced, alpine, infinity

ive had audiobahns in the past also, i must say these subs hit really hard but do have a quite a bit of distortion at high levels. However they are a bit pricey. but realistically $340 isnt too much for a sub.

i run a big car club and we do SPL in FL. We run kickers, Ma audio hard kores, Mtx, lightning audio Storms. What are you trying to get out of it street bass or SPL.

Well he said hes was looking at JL so hes probably looking for a decent mix of sq/ spl.
You can easily find decent subs.. but just remember when you get JL you get amazing quality. The w6v2 is one of my favorite subs (especially since i found them for an amazing price).
Some other decent stuff ive heard is image dynamics IDQ`s, elemental designs kv2 series, RE SE. Sound is really subjective though, its one thing i wouldnt take too many opinions on.. id suggest listening to some.
