Default black "A" pillar covers

i've got the tinted visor on my windshield and have never liked the way the pillar covers look through the front windshield. painted them black satin (along with rear view mirror) and it looks pretty good! now to get after that butt ugly plumbing that runs in front of lower grill. dont these engineers
look at these things after they're built? will try to post a pic in my profile.
