Blue Center Console Lighting and Gauges
Well after a few attempts to get this done, I finally did it tonight. The center console is now lit blue :D
Heres the link to the gauges when I did those.

Believe me, they look ALOT brighter in person.

I finished up my console last night too. Pics here would be redundant so I will just add the m to my website later tonight.
My console lights are dimmer than the guages. The AC ADj **** is bright but the rest seem only like they are half on. I had to re-assemble for my commute this morning so I will have to tear into it this weekend.
TIMO, was yours the same?
On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard and expensive is it to do the dash lights like this?
i wanted to do the tachometer in a soft white with a deep red needle and the other two in a blue like you did with a deep red needle (vw style) anyway i have taken apart a dash before but never in a brand new car and not that much of it, also do they have to be individually soddered (sp) or what?
thanx a lot for the help, congrats on gettin yours done!

Good to know, tChillin. It all looks great! I just ordered 40 blue LEDs from the site you listed and will be attempting the conversion myself soon!
Side note: I forgot to order extras for the radio, which, incidentally, I understand can be converted to blue as well.

I tried a couple of options with some of the in-line resistors on the panel. My recommendation is to just leave them alone. The light increase is nominal so it's not worth the effort.
I decided to try two other options. First, I am going to 2400 mcd (brightness) LED under the buttons to see if they are brighter with the same voltage. The other option is to lift the LED closer to the button and screen faces. You can use a solid core small wire to do this. I will let you know what works.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Wish me luck
