Can Ford Pioneer MP3 faceplate fit scion mp3 unit?
Was wondering if the faceplate off the unit below would fit the Scion unit?

Makes sense, both units are made by Pioneer. I like the ford one coz it has a round volume control. The rest of the controls look pretty much the same.
I'm in Australia so not an easy exercise to figure this one out

They are different sizes just by a bit, and I would never have an indash changer shipped. The ford radios are the worst, I took one out about 2 months ago and barely tipped it, and the lazer got jacked up. This is very common on the Pioneer units. So most likely if it is shipped, it is going to be tossed annd turned all over the place.
If you want a ****, why not just get an aftermarket radio. Most likely it will have the same features, and more power to make your speakers sound better.

Interesting.. how does one get it into shipping mode?
BTW - I do have a scion player in my Cressida. Had to hack the faceplate plastic to make it fit, but works great and plugged straight in. Did make some unusual noises to begin with.. perhaps that is the shipping mode CD recalibration?
If anyone has a manual for one of these things, please let me know.
Now if only the AM frequencies could be switched to work in 9HZ Australian intervals...
