Can I swap dealer LEDs with cold cathodes using same wires?
Does anyone know if I can swap my dealer LED lighting with Randode's cold cathodes by simply splicing the wires -- but keeping the existing LED wire system? I'd rather not run all new wires and replace the switch unless necessary. I can't find any examples in the archive of someone who tried this ...
you should be able to splice in leds/cathodes or other lights into the stock switch. i use one switch for my puddle lights/ leds in vent/door handles/cup holders/ and some cathodes. just make sure you splice the wires in behind the watchama call it :brain fart: lol. the leds normally have built in resistors that are shrink wrapped in.... make sure u splice it behind this meaning further away from the led. if that makes sense you should be good.. lol i jsut woke up, hope iwas of help with my gramatically incorrect sentences

I added the cold cathodes to my factory unit. I wanted more light in the front and put the cathodes up front. I put the LED light bar (factory) under the front seats - aiming toward the back. With the cathodes, you will need an inverter. Available via Oznium.com. One inverter can power both cathodes. You will have one extra power and ground lead. Either tape them up or add a second set of cathodes if you want more lights!
