I have the SPFR box made in carbon fiber last August and since they switched over to injected molded plastic I have not seen one since with exception to Omar from San Fernando Valley and another one that went to an owner in SoCal.

it doesn't seem like an obviously good material to make a box out of... but hey, go for it

There are actually quite a few installs that are wrapped in carbon fiber...

here are a few examples:

Yes the last two pics are of the Polk Audio Civic SI...Thanks for the compliment on the xB. I am not the installer of those cars pictured, but I am a retired installer. I installed for 10 years but came out of retirment to build the xB. Chris McSweyn (builder of many Eclipse, Boston Acoustic, and Pioneer demo cars) and myself built the xB.

ive always wanted to be an installer but location and demand is always a factor. i have a simple system installed and am going to be re-doing it myself. right now i have a single 15" sub in a sealed box w/ about 1.5 cu ft which isnt much but was unable to start on my permanent system at the time. any advice towards the building of my system would be very helpful and would be some great knowledge to gain.

I would plan everything before you start building. Are you going to paint it or wrap it? Are you going to make a beauty cover? Plan out how you are going to run your wires. Dont rush it, pay attention to the manufacture specs, and have fun!

visit sites like...www.termpro.com & www.carsound.com

you can find good tips on there.
