I haven't checked the dash, but in the center console, the lights are PLCC sized surface mount LEDs. They are all in the delco HVAC control. The clock has 3 and each button has one.

The bulb covers won't work for these, so you're going to have to desolder and resolder in some new LEDs. Talk about a pain in the ___. :?

The good news is that the cubby hole bulb can be replaced fairly easily with a LED replacement. The original bulb is an incandescent, so look for a #74 bulb LED replacement. These assemblies have one or more LEDs with the necessary resistor in place for a direct replacement.

Here is a site that sells individual LED replacement assemblies: http://autolumination.com/74.htm

It's amazingly strong!!! It sure work's ...enough to burn your skin if you leave on long enough. I love how it takes paint off and stickers..blaaa blaaa blaa enough about this ...yes isopropyl alcohol will work just fine and safer to work with. Yes, I brought this thread back from the dead..lol but this thread should have never been created in the first place.
