Default Clear Corners

Hi All.

I was wondering if anyone purchased or modified their yellow front parking light to make them clear? (without the yellow reflector)
I wanted to install a Super white corner light.
I also wanted to install a super white headlight for a few months before i go with HID.
I been searching the net for PIAA. They look great.
I want a Super white without the blue tints, which i am sick of seeing on the road.

Has anyone tried the APC super white headlight and corners?
Also for the foglights anyone changed those?

Thanks.

Props to anyone who know Kendo. (Verone, etc.)

I cleared mine out a couple of weeks ago, and put in Xenon Chrome 1157 chrome bulbs, that look chrome when off, and shine amber when they're on so the headlight housing looks totally chrome.

looks sweet infiz.
I just bought some chrome 1157 and am going to rempve the reflector tomorrow.

Let me ask...

Remove the bumper, remove the housing, and heat the outside with a blowdryer?

Does the housing come apart also? how do you remove the reflector from the small hole where the bulb goes?

I just want to gather info before i attempt this..

Thanks

thats how i cleared my accord headlights....but im pretty sure they are the same concept.

1.pre heat the oven to 300-350 degrees....
2. turn it off
3. put the whole housing in the oven for 2 mins (repeat this if doesnt work)
4. take out the housing and gently pray the cover

DONE, with the cover apart, just take out the reflector....

re-seal the cover with silicone sealant to make sure theres no leak :D

im always on the lookout for budget mods i'll probably be trying this next weekend.

one of the matrixowners i talked to at in-n-out said you can just re-heat the existing silicone and seal it back up. and his headlights were pretty clean.

at importfest i saw a couple cars with cleared headlights that were just about as messy as they could be.

sticking them in the oven sounds like an easier and faster way to go. has anyone had a bad experience with that?

Sorry i just do not want to put my expensive headlights in the oven.

Today i took my bumper apart, and the headlight.

I used a long, thin and sharp screwdriver with a hammer.
I placed the scredriver through the hole where the bulb goes. Center it on the reflector. BE CAREFUL THOUGH.. Give it a few good WACKS with the hammer.
WHat u want to achieve is to crack the reflector into 2-3 pieces. If the piece is too big. to take it out of the hole, use some wire cutters and keep breaking it until it comes out.
Using the screwdriver keep trying to PRY the reflector out until its out completely.
You need patience, Otherwise u will screw it up and scratch the inner housing.
The reflector is NOT glued into place, it just has 2 TABS holding it in place, so there shouldn't be any problems.
At the end there were little orange pieces inside the housing. My vacuum did not work.
So i used the handle of a thin screwdriver wrapped in a paper towel. and little by little i got all the fragments out. A few fell into the headlight portion, but i managed to get them out.

Took me about 2 hours from taking the bumper off to replacing the bumper.

I am so happy with the reults.

Like INFIZ i picked me up some amber/CHROME bulbs and now i have the CLEAN/CLEAR look.

My seal is still in factory condition with no leaks. I recommend this way rather than the oven.

cracking the orange reflector is always my personal choice..rather than cooking something in the oven..that's a scary thought...regardless...not to mention...the possible leak in the future.

i just wish i didn't have to take the bumper off...but i guess there's no other way.

for now..i rather save up for some nice JDM projector headlights....that's my way to go with the headlights.

I was nervous about putting the headlights in the oven, I've used heat guns and hair dryers to do Civics & Integra lights before but this was the first time I used the Oven. Its seriously no big deal at all. Low temp (275) for a few min, and with 2 ppl and 2 screwdrivers, the lens pretty much just comes right off. Take the reflector out, put them back in for a few min to warm the glue back up and put it right back together. No moisture, no visible cracks to the exterior of the lights, and best of all - CLEAR HEADLIGHTS :D
