Default COLD CATHODE EXTENDER, bad idea?

I have two open slots on my cold cathode inverters and and was thinking of entending them out to other areas of the car, to attach more CC's to. There are extender cables for this. From what i have seen the CC's are rated to a certain length. Will the lights become noticably dim if i do this? I have heard these extenders are a bad idea. Anyone know?

They should be fine, but it'd probably be a better idea just to run a power wire and install another inverter.

BUMp BUMP!!!

I have two open slots as well...

scionxbny where exactly do you want to put the other two cathodes?? In the trunk?? I think I saw a post of a guy who just tapped into a wire in the back and was able to get two in the back! Let me know!

Don't extend the wire between the inverter and the tube at all. The lights will get dimmer.

It's really really easy to pull wires back to the trunk, all you have to do is pull the snap-on body panels off.

Could you explain? I have existing wiring that is all routed from the harness power supply under the e-brake.
