Default Cold Cathode Tubes?

I installed the Randode CC kit about a month ago and one of my tubes broke. Where can I get a replacement at? If I order from somewhere else will it be the same blue etc?? I would also like to run two more tubes under the seat and one in the front tray under the AC controls.

First off, I'd hit up randy. He might give you a new one free or at cost. If he doesn't, hit up svc.com and order a replacement.

one of the reasons not to get his kit. if you had just done it yourself it would have been less than $20 and you would know where to get more tubes.

I ordered from svc.com. I ordered 4 tubes and a 4" tube.

Because it's easier? All the wires are cut and spliced, it has easy to read instructions, he's a nice guy. I'm sure there are other reasons.

Yeah I do like his kit. I'm not that great at wiring up stuff and his kit helped out a lot. But yeah I ordered 4 12" tubes with inverters and a 4" tube and it was like $15 or so.

ditto, Randy makes a quality kit...no wire splicing, everythings pre-wired, and anyone can install the kit, no matter if you have experience with these things or not...so if you can make up your own kit and know your wiring good for you, but don't be putting down other people's quality product and what they worked hard for producing for the Scion community ;) ...

Randy's kit is good if you're not comfortable with these kinds of things. I think pretty much everyone knows that you can fab up your own for less than 1/3 the cost, it's just that most people don't want to fry their car's electrical system or whatever. Besides, any way you cut it that kit beats the dealer LEDs with a 4 foot stick in both price and brightness.

On the 4" cathode, did you get it with an inverter? If not, you're going to have to get one. Also, you can put a 6" tube in there without any trouble.

Yeah I got it with the inverter. I didn't see a 6" one, but the 4" should light up pretty good in that small of space. I ordered 4 12" ones cause I wanted to replace the one that broke, add 2 to each seat and I wanted to somehow mount one in my speaker box, just not sure where exactly.

I want to install it inside the vent of the box somehow.

i wouldnt suggest puttin a cathode inside the port. with that much air moving around, somethings bound to break. now if you secure it and put it in a STRONG housing like a lexan tube and mount it very well, it should be fine.

Yeah I did think about all that air going through there. I may just mount it somwhere behind the box or do something like you said.

OK I got my CC's in today. I got 4 12" and one 4". I installed the 12" one under the driver dash that was broke and installed the 4" one in the cubby hole compartment. I want to install 2 more of the 12's under the seats but I don't know where to mount them at. Any ideas?

You know the silver piece at the front of the seat? It's curved upwards and makes a great place to mount cold cathode tubes. I personally like to mount one low on the front and one high up on the back, it distributes the light nicely and does away with any dark spots.

Did you mount them with zip ties? Or how? I know the part you're talking about. Right under the seat, like the bracket the seat is attached to huh?

because I sell a quality part. If you can build your own, go for it. But a lot of people arent comfortable building there own. My kit is plug and play.

Randy makes a quality product, that's why I got mine. I didn't know how to hook up the wiring and cathodes from scratch, nor did I have the time to figure it all out.

Like Randy says, its all plug and play. It took me less than an hour to install it in my xB, and its just as good, but to me its better, than doing it from scratch.
