Good job! The dealer installed LED kit provides cup holder illumination at about 2000% what you paid.

I'm always amazed at true owners that are willing to mod their box using parts and ideas--not kits.

Nice work!

Always cool to see another LED mod, very nice. I've done mods with bare LEDs and resistors before and its a pain having to solder them up, so I know that you must have put a lot of work into these. The only thing I would have done different was use a rocker style switch instead of the toggle kind, excellent job tho.

bassically its just a resistor
all you need to know is ohms law
V=IR or Voltage equal amps times ohms (resistance)
so say you want to wire some 10 LEDS that have 50 ohms of resistance so thats a total of 500 ohs up in one of the spare slots in your fuse box rated at 15 millamp

assuming you are hooking the leds up in series there for you know that you have 12 volts and 12mill amps which gives you 800 ohms but in order for the system to work correctly you will need to add a 300 ohms resistor which will add up to 12 volts

but if you were running them parralel you would only need 1 750 ohm resistor due to the fact that there is minimal voltage drop in a parrelel circuit
i know it may sound confusing and i cant type worth poo but i hoped it helped

but check out www.the12volt.com and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohm's_law
