Default Custom fit Subwoofer and Amp Encloser

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction for a subwoofer and amp encloser that would fit in the spare tire and storage in the back. And also which kind of subwoofer and amp to get. All help would be appriciated.

Thanks Zack

be careful if you get a sub enclosure that fits in the spare tire / storage box - these have low amount of airspace and should not be used with a high wattage sub... if an enclosure like that style is what you want to use, check the airspace of the enclosure, and buy a sub that will operate in an enclosure with that same amount of airspace, otherwise your system will sound like ___, and not hot 18 yrs old female straight outta high school ___, but rather more like a wrinkly pimply old mother of 4 ___.... not trying to hate at all, but many do not know that all speakers requre different amounts of airspace depenging on power handeling, and acoustics. it pays to do your homework before you spend hard earned $ on something. i would suggest calling Elemental Designs - or PM'ing Mandos on the forums, they can make you a custom enclosure that will fit perfectly in that location with the correct amount of airspace. they have a scion XB at their shop so you can believe that the fitment will be 100% on. Also they have killer subbs are awesome prices. just tell them what speaker you want to use and how much airspace it needs - ported or sealed snclosure - there is a difference in airspace needs there too - ported enclosures need bigger boxes, sealed boxes are great for smaller spaces - and they can build a the box for you based on your speakers needs. this way your low end won't get muddy and you won't risk over excursion.
or if sound quality isn't that important to you and you are going more for looks, disreguard everything i just wrote.

Mandos, did i miss anything

^^^true...

i made the mistake of making an enclosure that was too small. and my first sub almost blew out. then i upgraded my sub and amp, but now i need to make a better box.i think this time i'm just gonna say, screw it and forget the space...i just want more bass.

go to crutchfield.com and enter your model, and click custom fit enclosures

i own this and LOVE IT. enough bass to shake the car, but still sound wonderful.

the enclosure replaces that storage compartment beside your spare tire. Now you can have a sub, yet still have the same amount of cargo space

that you very much, i just took two pics for you, i put the amp under the passenger seat.

i didn't know this at the time, but a few people who have the same profile amp complain about it running hot...

when you have your A/C on bi-level (blows air by your feet, and through the dash) there is an A/C vent under the passenger seat that blows right on my amp, keeping it nice and cool.

i moved the seats forward in this picture to better show the amp

you can put any size sub in any size enclosure, the effects caused by the size should be done specificly on taste of music and normal use.

if a subwoofer requires 1cuf of spacing for a sealed box, you could easiely do a 0.75cuf and you would not notice the diffrence very well. the change in total Q Value barely increases and gives almost no effect diffrent from the original recommended sized box.

Vented designs are much diffrent however. the smallest change from the optimum size and make the biggest diffrence in actualy sound and unwanted ambient "boomy" noises that turn your bump to a thump...
