Default Custom mounted dash gauge install Pics...

I just put in 3 Autometer Phantom II gauges last weekend. I custom mounted them in the dash just behind the steering wheel. Ive seen this done before and I absolutely loved so I went ahead and did it. I didnt have any problems with the install except I still havent figured out where to run the power for the lights on the gauges so they work with the light switch on the left stalk...

...any help with that would be greatly appreciated! Heres the pics.

Since its so close, couldn't you just tap the lead that lights the main speedo cluster ? Sounds most logical to me ..

Excellent ideas...

...I was basically being too lazy to figure out what wires were which. Sometimes you just gotta half-a$$ an install just for a bit until you find some motivation to finish it. You all know what I mean....

The install looks sweet. One question though, what made you decide to put in a clock? There's already one in the dash and probably one in your head unt. ???

You know what would look cool now? Paint the needles on your speedometer and gas/tach with flouresent paint. Round out the theme.

I installed a clock because I know I will need another gauge down the road when i do a certain mod not to be named. Since I was drilling already why not put 3 holes in. Basically I just needed something to fill the hole for now...

...As far as painting the needles to match thats a killer idea. I was thinkin about how to pull it all together and thats perfect. I may do that very soon.
