D.I.Y. cold Cathode
Well, today, i thought i'd be a smart ___ and save myself some money and go buy some cold cathodes from Fry's and install them myself. It was only about 25$ for 4 lights with invertors and switches and wiring. First, i mounted the switches and ran the power wires. which was no big deal. then i mounted one of the invertors behind the dash and mounted the 2 front lights. easy enuuf. but the back was a pain in the a**. it took me about 4 hours to figure out where to run the wires and where to mount the lights under the rear seats. I AM NOW A FIRM BELEIVER IN RANDY'S COLD CATHODE KITS. if he can install one in under an hour in the parking lot of Krispy Kreme, then his kits are the bomb and definately worth the money. One cool thing about my install tho, i made it so you can turn on the front or back independantly of each other in case you just want one or the other on. OH, and another note, if doing this yourself be VERY CAREFUL with the lights. I BROKE on of them while trying to install they are VERY fragile.
