Default Dash Light Problems

I'm having a problem with my interior lights. I have put in a new radio which caused me to have to remove my middle dash pannel a few times, well along the way one of my two air control lights stopped burnning but will come on if you tap on it for some reason. Any reason this would be happening and anyone know anyway to fix it?

It sounds to me like it just has a weak connection. Have you checked the back of the HVAC control to see if either of the LED mount locations are loose? These should be the two gray circles on the back of the HVAC control unit. The HVAC control unit is the cream-colored block in the middle of the dash trim. The two gray circles simply pop in and out by a quarter-turn of a screwdriver, so don't be afraid to pop out the LED in question and re-seat it. Polarity is important, so if it doesn't light up when you put it back in, you may just have to take it out and turn it around 180 degrees.
Since you're taking them out anyway, this may be the perfect time to swap those ugly LEDs for the color of your choice. You can get the replacement LEDs here. They are the Neo-Wedge bulbs about halfway down the page, I believe they are Type A if I remember correctly, but you may want to measure the stock ones just to make sure.
...hope this helps.

Thanks. I have already changed mine to green using green boots in place of the amber ones on from factory. I've tried the light in both ways and even switched sides on them, when I did that the one with the problem would not burn at all. Could the led just be bad at this point and need to be replaced? Will LEDs still click on with a tap after they have gone bad?

It really does sound like a weak or loose connection. This would explain why they come on when they are tapped.
I believe the wire leads for each bulb just wrap around and pinch into the circular gray seat. You may check and see if maybe the leads seem to be loose from the seat itself or perhaps from the LED bulb.
Again, it might be more time-effective to just order replacement LEDs and swap them out. The light from green LEDs would look better than using the green boots anyways.
Good luck.
