I am just curious as to how to hook up the defroster output on dei remote starts. I would like to hook it up in my car for my viper 791xv, but not sure how.. I installed about 10 remote starts now, and everytime the person asks me why i dont hook up the defroster output.

 

youre talking about the second status output wire right? Well, its programmable as far as duration goes. Read up on it in the install manual. Youll need a relay as well since the current rating is only 200ma.

 

I dont see anything in the manual that shows how to hook it up. Which wire do u hook it up on? And how do u use the relay
