So im installing the dei 530ts on my python 881xp. The problem is that when i install it, i lose control of the passenger window from the drivers side door. I want to know if anyone has foudn a way around this, as i have looked online and seen many people have encountered the same problem.

DEI window mods suck. Seriously, remove them.

Default window modules.

I have all 4 windows controlled with the DEI units. I have to spray the front passanger window with silicone lube in the channels. This will help.

Man, I bought a module on ebay. I wish I seen this thread before I bought. Is the module just problematic for the tC or just doesn't work?

Its just annoying for the tC because it causes your passenger window control on your drivers side window to not work should work for everything else.

I have not done this yet but i see no reason for this not to work. I have installed a 530t and had the same issues as everyone else. all you need to do is to run your own wires to the front drivers side pass switch to the appropriate 530t wires. The only reason it stops working is because you had to cut the switch wires in half on the pass side so the current isnt getting to the pass side control. just need to make sure to put in diodes so the current does not feed back to the drivers side switch.

I actually talked to my boss about running direct wires from the passenger to the drivers side and dioding it but i forgot the reasoning, but he says it wont work. He has some 7 years installing this stuff so I believe him. I think i will try and install the 529t

well if you are thowing around crednencials and crap i am MECP first class certified and have been installing for 6 years proffesionally and well over that total time. Installed over 300 remote start/alarms (all dei of course and in a 2 year time frame for most of that). I know that i dont know it all but i surely know what im doing. I would much rather test my theory then think about it and say it wont work. engineers drive me nuts. i deal with them all day (sorry to the engineers in the house) but they tell you that its always the installers fualt when something happens not admiting to thier own mistakes. anyways i will let you know when i get it to work.

Also i have had many more than 1% of the dei units go bad. Although they are a great brand.

whatever dude. im not the one saying that there is only one way. all im saying is that i used a 530t and both windows work fine via the all door switches and using the remote for the 791.

i like the snockerdooddle cookies the best if you have one of those that'd be great

haha i just think its funny cause code hopping and his software have nothing to do with our windows rolling up/down.
