Yeah, the new Scion branded arm rest has cup holders.

 

I missed the ones on the door. . . maybe you could attach em to the upholstered part of the door, and do it minivan style, with dlb cup holders on each door.

The new factory armrest only has 1 drink/cupholder.

I like that Saturn solution, its like the dash unit on our Dodge Caravan dash cupholders.

What I like most about my initial design is that the drinks are up closer to where your hands would be when sitting in the back seat. Also they are up out of the way of any possible foot interference with the middle seat rider.

I have seen aftermarket units that go on the side doors and sorta fold-out but I am not sure how they would be securely attached to the door panels.


Also, I used my volcano lighter today to clean up some of the plastic filings/cling-ons, and they melted back into the resin of the holder unit.
