Do i need a capacaitor?

Default Do i need a capacaitor?

I going to be running two rockford fosgate amps for my speakers and subs.....will i need a cap if the ::::
sub runs at
300 rms at 2 ohms x 1 channel
and the speakers run at:
50 rms at 4 ohms x 4 channels

so a toatl of 500 rms with loads of 2 ohm and 4 ohm

will i need a capacitator? thanxs

its always best to run a cap just to make sure you dont kill the alternator no matter what kind of car or system your driving..try something with at least 1 farard ..

Do not listen to this guy. You do not need a cap. If your alternator is already lacking, why introduce another load on the system? A cap needs to be charged and even then it doesn't really do anything. You would be better off buying a higher output alternator, a better battery or both plus improving your vehicle grounds below with thicker wire.

1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

Yes caps do have their place in car audio but not in the way most people think they need to use them.

this dude knows his ____.

you dont need caps unless youre running 2+ very high output amps. alot of people do them becuase it accents the setup though.
