Door Locks and Dome light Dont work -help?
Leaving work one night my car alarm went crazy on me - it would arm itself just after starting the car and then would not shut off (!) when i took the key out (its never done this in 2+ years) so i stalled it (stick shift) and then the anti-theft start-kill relay kicked in, would not shut off from arming/disarming the vehicle so i reached up and unpluged the brain, problem solved and i drove home.
I did a factory reset on the brain and everything was dandy - until this morning. I go out and notice the dome light is not working, no big deal right? just a blown bulb, right? wrong. The door locks do not work. period. They don't arm, disarm with my remote, driver and passenger lock controls and the factory key less entry does not work aswell. My alarm is back to normal and now it beeps to indicate to me that its not sensing the door locks properly.
I have checked and rechecked all stock fuses with a ohm meter in the location under the dash and under the hood. This alarm has worked for 2 + years fine and now this.
Also the on dash door "open" light does come off and on with the doors opening and closing, is this the possible Door lock Control relay issue? If anyone has any input it would be much appreciated.
I must add to that the dome light only works in the "on" position. Off is "off" and the door position is also "off" - with doors open and no its not a sticky door switch i have tried to open all 4 doors and nothing and i cant access the trunk hatch either

Wow that does sound like a posible fried DLCM. Best way to test the lock system is to create a positive and negitive trigger. i.e. tap a fused wire on one end to 12v and get a second fused wire and tap that to ground. Then follow the green and blue wires comming from the brain (assuming its DEI) to your lock and unlock wires. One is lock the other unlock, you can force the locks to lock and unlock by tapping either 12v or ground to those wires. If it does not work, then start tracing. Take out your drivers switch panel and try in there, if that works try else where, till you can narrow down the source. Same thing goes for your door trigger, take your ohm meter, follow the purple small wire and check the wire that its at. See if it goes to 12v when the door is shut and goes to 0v when the door is open.
