Default door panels inserts

how so you get the middle insert off the door panels so you could rewrap that part of the door. i see that it is seemed together somehow but how do you get it apart

I do not recommend that you remove that center insert. Dealers and upholstery shops just overlay leather on the existing cloth material. That panel is held in place by plastic rivets that were melted on. You would have to break those, carefully then re-weld them using heat and plastic. It can be done, but I don't recommend it.

that insert is part of the door, not designed to come off. you can cut it out but putting it back and attaching it might prove to be a bit difficult.

Hey Matt, could you do a writeup of how you painted the top of the door panel, will the edges look crooked and broken etc....what is SEM plastic dye?
