I'm usually just a browser on this site... but now I'm in need of help. When I bought my box new in 06, I went from the stock radio to a single din. Well, recently, I went back to a double din and now my HU just sits there. I have no way of mounting it to the car. I have the fitment side pieces that come in EVERY search I've done. I'm looking for the og brackets to hold the HU to the frame.

Any help?

 

If I remember correctly the single din dash kit from crutchfield came with an optional double din mounting plate but it was mad of plastic and not really that stable.

You are going to have to call a dealer to get the supports and they are any were from $12.50 a bracket to upwards of $15 depending on the dealer and their mark-up.

I don't know if you've got the brackets you're looking for but if not, then don't go buy any! You can use the same brackets that are on your stock head unit to mount a double din. The only thing you need to buy is the little filler panels which only cost a few bucks if you know where to look. GL
