So I finally went through with it and blacked out my interior.
Here are the pics, they're a bit blurry since the flash causes the headliner to look washed out. So this is a pretty accurate representation of the color. I'm pretty happy with it. Opinions?

jus playin. im jealous. arent those c/d window trim panels annoying to remove compared to the other 2. one of the pop in fasteners on mine hates coming out

Thanks. Yea, the dome light is getting replaced with LEDs and I'm putting them in the grab handles too.

 

I have been debating doing this for a long time, ever since I got my leather... what paint did you use and how did you dye the headliner? I think I'm finally going to go through with this.

Yea... it was kinda guess and check with the method, but as far as I can tell, you're better off using super light coats and keep building on it. I think it's a bit trickier for the dye to set since the headliner is a synthetic fiber. There might be a better product out there (I've actually heard that Krylon Fusion will work) but the end result is just fine.

I'll update if I start to see any unusual wear, but right now it seems pretty bulletproof.

 

I wanted to ask about that vinyl spray...
It doesnt make it smell weird or anything does it?

I left the headliner in my basement for a few days. There's a bit of odor left on it for about a week.

As far as the number of cans... that's what I needed to get uniform color. The xB headliner is massive compared to a tC one.
