Just so you know.
I had bamboo flooring in my xB for about two years now, but over the winter with the snow and the rain, and moving stuff in the xB during said snow and rain, the floor started to warp. The last straw was going to pick up a motorcycle during a downpour, since the car needed to be upen for about 10 minutes to load the bike.
Anyway, I decided to go and line-x it all instead, forgetting that under the carpet and floor I had put down Dynamat Xtreme. The ramp flooring came off no problem, it was just held down with Gorilla glue. The interior flooring was even easier, until i got to the dynamat.
This stuff is a huge PITA, and after a call to Dynamat direct they had no suggestions. Fortunately, all surfaces I'm removing it from are completely flat. I tried a paint scraper, blow torch, acetone, turpentine, heat gun, aircraft stripper, and nothing cuts this stuff. Finally I decided to just tough it out and the method I used was taking a rigid putty knife and a hammer, and just slowly chiseling it all off. This takes about 4 hours and multiple hammer blows to the thumb. I eventually taped a foam pad over my thumb to dull the impact, it works pretty well.
After the majority is scraped off, I soaked the floor in mineral spirits, then scraped the residue off with a flexible putty knife. Finally, I wipe off the remainder and solvent with paper towels and sand down with an orbital sander and 40 grit pads. Pics posted later. if anyone has an easier way, please let me know.

Freeze it out. That's the best way I know how. By freezing the black tar, it reduces how sticky the stuff is. It's the way to do it with the stock matting as well. Still a huge PITA, but it might work better.
that stuff sucks for sure; i removed a bunch to re-do my hatch and it took forever from either pulling on it or heating it witha heat gun to try to lift it up and slowly cut it from the car
