its a static issue, and yes i only have the one amp hooked up to the one sub. im getting static in all of my speakers no just the sub. i spliced into the exstiting wires as to not cut them. as to the LOC im not quite sure ill have to check out the package, all i know is it had 5 wires that i was suppose to hook up, 2 for left, 2 for right, and one ground.

Try unhooking the ground to the LOC and see what that does. Did you double check to make sure the wire's are correct left and right and there polarity? If it is causing static in all your other speakers to, then it most likely is you LOC in some way. Let us know.

i never thought about reversing the wires, you know what now that i think about it i think they are crossed, ill switch them as soon as i get home in about an hour, and let you know if that works and if it doesnt ill unhook the ground and see what happens also. thanks for the help by the way.

ok i think i fixed it, one the wires were crossed and 2 the ground wire on the rca converter wasnt hooked up. i revirsed them and it sounds a tone better. this is probably a stupied question but i hardly know anything about stereos so i want to know, why do people install sound deadner? what is it used for and what does it do? and thanks again for the help you did fix the problem.
