Was wondering if anybody was aware, or heard roomers of a firmware upgrade for the stock radio so it will accept fonts from different languages for MP3 titles. Specifically Chinese Mandarin. All the song titles come up as garbage.

I really doubt that the stock unit is upgradeable. Even if it was, the LCD doesn't have the proper resolution to display characters. Each digit can only display 28 dots (4 w x 7 h).

Good point... The resolution is just too low.

Gives me a good excuse to get that LCD DVD/GPS system now! Glad I didn't spend the extra to get the in dash changer now!
