When you remove the speakers, look at the terminals on the back. The wider terminal is the positive side, and the skinnier one is the ground. So, knowing that, you'll be able to know which wire is hot and which is the ground.

If ur changing out the speakers in the dash its a bit different, both wires are black. On these speakers, the wire coming from the resister (bass blocker) to the speaker is the positive side.

There's not much to say as far as what is exactly wrong. The only thing I can suggest is to back track. You will have to be very meticulous. Jus take a look at any spot you removed panels and or worked around. Once in and around those areas definitly inspect any wiring, both pre-existing and anything you modified. The first place you should is the driver's side master switch. You know the spot where you can control all the windows and power locks. Also definitely troubleshoot the other doors to isolate if the problem is at the driver's master switch.

It sounds like the master switch in the drivers door is unplugged, that is why you can still use the door lock switch on the passenger side. Did you go in the drivers kick panel at all? As for the passenger door sounds like one of the speaker terminals came off and thats why it is not working. Your soundstage, as stated above you replaced the fronts with after market speakers, so they will be louder than the stock ones and most possibly the front door speakers due to the low position of them in the door versus the dash being up high. Are you running an after market radio or stock? If your using a stock deck realize you just putin speakers that handle way more power than the factories did, and the stock deck still only pushes a lot less power out than an aftermarket deck, so theres a good reason why the maybe a little quiter. But after market speaker play a much better range of frequinces than stocks do. Please keep us informed on what you find and your progress, so we can help you out so more if needed, good luck.

I just want to remind people that when we give you advice on trouble shooting, it's very hard to 100% diagnose the problem, since we are not there to see it first hand. So please take what we say and put it to the best use, but like cjastacio said the best thing you can do is backtrack over everything you have touched to see what the problem is, all we can do is give you an idea of where to start and what a possible problem could be.

Like said above, check the connector for the main switch panel in the drivers door.

The aftermarket speakers may be quieter than stock because they aren't as efficient. OEM speakers generally have lightweight paper cones so they don't require a lot of power to move. Aftermarket speakers are made to be louder and have a cleaner sound. Some of that is accomplished with denser more rigid cone materials which require more energy to move and are therefor less efficient. There's more to it but that's the simple version.

Simple answer is yes it will, an amp would be ideal, but money dosent grow on trees, a aftermarket radio would be a good start.
