Default Fog Light install killed LEDs

I took my car to the dealer to get fog lights installed. When I picked it up the under dash and cup holder LEDs no longer function. I figure the installer neglected to reconnect a wire.

Is this a simple fix or do I need to give my baby back to the dealer for another day?

(my son cried when he thought the Camry loaner was a permanent replacement)

Take it back and have it fixed, hopefully a fuse or loose wiring.

Yes - but if its an easy fix I'll do it myself rather than drive 15 miles each way and give up my car when I am a really busy working mom.

I'm assuming its a blown fuse, but I would bring it in, rather be safe then sorry, ya never know what they messed up, rather be on the safe side and lose it for a little while then find out they blew several fuses out and you find out something else doesn't work down the road.

Ok - back to the dealer we go. I'll tell the salesman he owes me some bling for the kids.
Should the fog light switch light up? Was hard to find in the dark.

The Camry rode very smoooooth like a grandaddy car. I also think the xB had more pep. Of course it was an automatic. Comfortable but O FUN. Maybe I'll get a tC for my next loaner.........

Camry would kick the xb's butt! The switch does not light up on the fog lights. You could go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the Gardner Bender GSW-49 switch and it would light up, fits really good for what I am told. Good luck.

You could check the fuse box to see if they accidentally disconnected the power wire. You should see somthing hanging typically with a end.

Having performed both installs, I'm not sure how the fog light would mess up the LED's. The LED's draw power from a splice in the cigarette lighter, the fog lights have their own harness. They should also be on seperate fuses since the LED's are on the accessory power relay and the fog lamps should be pulling off of the driving light circuit (I may need to check my diagrams on that one). My guess would be that they removed the middle console to gain access to the fog light switch harness, and in doing so unplugged the cigarette lighter and LED power, then forgot to plug them back in when they hooked everything back up.

If you are somewhat handy, the middle console comes apart easy enough. If not, take it to the dealer since it's their screw up and liability to fix. It should be a 30 minute job tops.

Do the factory installed LEDs splice to the lighter? I have an RS 4 that came w/ multicolor lights. Also, I have an XM radio in the cigarette lighter and it is still working.
Is it possible the installer took what it thought was a spare fuse to use for the fogs and didn't replace?
I looked at the fuses today -none look bad but I couldn't tell if any were missing.....
