Found a use for my repro bB emblem
I did an auto dimming mirror install last weekend.
That left some holes where the original mirror was mounted.

I machined an aluminum mount for a repro emblem I had.

Close up of installed emblem...Polar White, of course!

Sure looks better than that gap in the headliner! What do you think?

Now that's a sweet solution to your problem! Handy with a milling machine, eh?
Always trying to think up new things for my xB!
The EL sheet wouldnt put off alot of lite, it would just illuminate the area that is exposed. i guess if you take the bB emblem that you have now, make a mold of your dome light cover and fab one up, it would work out fine. i'd leave the incadescent bulb in there for the most light, or even retrofit a 4" white cathode to make it as bright as possible.

do you have access to chrome plating or vacuum metalizing?I need my interior pieces chromed :D
We send out chrome and vacuum metalizing. Nothing in house for that.
Chrome is ez, everyone does it. VM is harder, only two or three places do it. Also, the minimum is very high. We used VM on Terminator endoskeletons.
