GadgetSeller Digital A/f gauges
http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/digitalproducts.htm
Anyone have an opinion on these?
I'm very tempted. I'm a big fan of digital readouts compared to gauges.
It's basically a voltmeter, but then that's all that the gauges are really, aren't they ?

Interesting....
Be The Guinie Pig!
Tell us how they work out... they look promising, as the guy looks like he knows what he's doing.... You'd still need a wideband A/F sensor, I believe...

Why would you need one of these gauges unless you're running F/I and you have the ability to alter your fuel trims ala SAFC? If you want to be in the know, why not get a wide band kit and know what your ratio is?
At least you didn't get the Autometer lightshow AF gauge...

It's always good to know what your AF ratio is. Check out the intake dyno thread, AF ratio nightmare. I'd like to be able to see at a glance over a period of time what any and all of my mods do to the AF.
According to the other thread that's running on this subject, our O2 is more wideband than most, so getting a wideband could be moot. If I need to I might look into that.
"why not get a wide band kit and know what your ratio is"
The o2 sensor spits out a voltage, that's it, it doesn't do anything else. All this does is show that voltage (very precisely) the ratio is just calcualated from that voltage, if you know that 1volt is 14.7 you can pretty much see if you're lean or rich very quickly and much more accuratly than a gauge that only has 10 leds.
The only thing I see being bad about this led gauge is that it only updates 2.5 times a second, which under WOT might be too slow.
But hey, $50 present to me from Santa to play with. I might have to see what else I can get useful readings off and maybe get 2 or 3 more. I'm already going to get one for the battery to show the exact voltage - which I'm going to mount in the engine bay.

Amber 'LED' Gauge was shipped to me today.
As with all my stuff, I'll document everything, pix and all (in fact this could probably benefit from a video). :-)
I just need to find the wire that I should tap.
