Garage Remote "Base" thingamajig?
Hey folks,
Everyone in my family who has a car has one of those built-in garage door opener buttons that came with their vehicle. We don't use our garage for the cars, but we use it for our security gate. I was wondering if there was a 3rd party garage remote base I could buy for/install in my xA. I'm tired of using this ugly brick... I could live with it, but if there is something sleeker, I'm there!
Thanks

Mod that Brick...
Have you opened it up? Can the button be extended and mounted behind a switch plate like for the foglights? I had thought about doing it, but the remote for mine fits right in the little hole to the right of the Ign. switch in the xB. Not sure if the xA has the right setup, but that's what i'd do, even check for a new button at Radio Shack if possible...
Just a thought...

i installed on my motorcycle a garage door opener that is activated by flashing the high beam twice. it worked great.

edit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=35557 <-- for a Honda Goldwing...this would probably work...I wonder if that's a Honda part, I could ask my sister to get it for me.
edit: Probably gonna build one myself...but how do we tap the high beams? hrmmm
