Default Gauging Interest: CF A Pillar Pod?

Looking for the interest on CF A Pillar Pod + passenger side pillar as a set.

Here are xB samples as they would just be the xA version of these:

Ok now that I got you drooling Nothing is written in stone and this is just a list to see who is interested and can do this. NO BS! Either you can or can't

So here are the details:

Ok I have heard back form CFtype.com

They will do the C-pillars left and right in CF for us. The deal is they will be about $200 a pair Shipped! and there needs to be 6 confirmed buyers with %50 deposit.

Let me know what you think and I will see what price I can get for an order of 10 to 20 etc. etc. I would either need to sacrifice my pillars or some one would need to donate an extra pair Also the R&D is not quoted at all so it could be a few months.

so I did my part so far let me know

UPDATE: 12-15 wold be $175 w/50% deposit 15 to 20 would be cheaper. But i don't think they want to give a price till there is a real since of this actually happening.

-----------------------------------
So if I have 6 buyers I need some one extra left and right a pillars + they would need all 6 people to give a $100 deposit.

If like 10 to 15 orders would be $87.50 deposit a person.

If no one seems interested here I will try and see if there is a non-CF mold solution. I am just testing the waters here to see how people react to the idea.

I personally would like a plastic mold for around $100 in the future cause CF all over the place is not my style. But since xA's have NO GAGE PODS for the pillars AT ALL! I thought doing this would attract attention.

So give me some thoughts guys. Come on

just plain carbon fiber would nice, those pods just look very cheap, and they need to be lower and closer together and maybe it wouldnt look so cheap.

lol, thanks for you input . Not sure if you can really judge the quality by those crappy pics The photos you are looking at are the ones made for the xB and they are a pretty reputable company.

I am trying to get one made for the xA.

i didnt mean the quality of the entire pillar, just the pods, they look like the universal ones that you buy at your local auto parts store but the rest of it looks good

hehe, well I am sure if you want grey you will have to supply the Grey CF to these guys or pay extra. You could use Carbon Kevlar as well. Very expensive.

OH! No CF at all. KK well I could go for that. I would rather have black cause I am gonna kill the A,B,C pillars soon with black. But I think I might have to look for a diff. company. These guys do mostly CF stuff.

I have seen the cftype in real life, don't look cheap up close, but if the deal is still on does it include the xb sale as well? I would love to get some for the xb at that price!

No, I am sorry. This deal is xA exclusive. They will be making these only for this buy if I get enough committed people But if you want I can make an inquiry to an xB group buy as well. See what my contact says. PM me about it and I would also make a separate thread from this one.

By the way I might be getting another thing going with a plastic a pillar drivers side 2 or 3 pod thing. No word as of yet though.

If I do not get enough responses by next week on this CF thing I will tell the company there was not enough interest and move on.

Well sorry guys but it does not seem that anyone is interested enough for this build. IF people want a plastic one I will see what I can do there as well but I doubt it unless there is serious interest.
