Default getting new stereo stuff. need some help.

ok-my ddx7017 should be here tomorrow. this is what i wanna do-i wanna get a 5 channel amp to power my components in the front, get a component set for the back-mount them as coaxials, and then use the 5th channel for my sub. i've been looking at the hifonics zx8000(i think). it's like 4x55+1x200. anyone ever used one of these by any chance? are hifonics amps decent? right now i'm using a 4-channel kenwood rated at 4x75. components in the front are using 2 channels and the sub is using 2 channels bridged. can't decide if i should just get a mono amp for the sub and then use the other 2 channels in the kenwood amp for other components. any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanxxxxxxxx

Hifonics are a pretty good amp for an "easy on the wallet" price..... What sub(s) are you going to be powering?? the single 10 you have???

I would probably get a mono amp for the sub and use the other channels on the amp you have now for the rears.....

It's a good amp but I would go with another amp for the sub. You can do better than the 200 watts offered in that amp.

D class Mono amps offer alot of power these days and can be fairly inexpensive. More bang for the buck!!

You already have enough power for the rest of your system.

^^^^ Agreed.

I picked up a Planet Audio D-Class Mono Block for under $150

it's a kicker 10" right now, but i'm also getting a new sub-the diamond audio d610something. i forgot what the rms is on the thing. i'm getting the diamond audio m651 components and set them up as coaxials for the rear. i believe those are 120w rms.
