Default gps navi question...

i have a qusetion about how accurate the gps is with this unit (or in general).

i put the navi unit (pioneer avic-n1) in the box when it had 400 miles on it.
now the odo reads 1775 miles and the navi says 1800 miles.

i am wondering how the gps navi is saying that it made up the 400 miles and then some?
i am still rolling on stock steelies.

i know that speedo/odo's are given a tolerance of about 3% to the tire size or actual speed/distance. but it does not seem that it should have made up the diff that fast..

any thoughts?

Unless you tossed 19"wheels on with a high profile, that sounds pretty tough to justify. It's possible to get wheels that too big and be off by almost 10%, but that's reading WAY too high.

Do you drive in reverse alot? I don't think the ODO reads those as mileage, but the GPS would. :?

I think GPS navigation are pretty accurate, but I think Satellite ones are much more easier to find. But are we talking about the actual car Navigation System or like Pioneer or other aftermarket Navigation?
