GPS software
I bought DeLorme Earthmate 2004 and though i was getting a good deal and the GPS part is extremly accurate but the software sucks!!
I never clicked and type so much in my life and it got me lost twice in one drive from San Diego, to L.A. Even though i was lost i knew exactly where i was, go figure. No before i used that i used mapquest and print it out and i never got lost. Using Earthmate it kept making me take side roads and back roads and i knew i could just stick on th freeway.
So my question is what is the best gps software out there?
Which one will save locations
Which one will automatically get me back on track.
Which one will work without me having to click something.
Which has the fewest clicks to do the most.
Give me something that i can thow the earthmate out the window!
Even better does anyone have a linux version that works?

I haven't tested it yet, I just downloaded it today, but here's a web site for a Linux program that should work with your earthmate gps receiver.

I'm going to try it out tomorrow to see if it will work with my Garmin receiver.
Linux rules !!

Wardriving
Whats that. hehehe
Been doing that for a while with a 802.11 PDA. Check out http://www.netstumbler.com/
Try it with a GPS gets even more interesting. Drove down 5 blocks downtown , picked up 30 unlocked APs.

Oh yeah I remember... I am finishing up that 10.4 flipdown touchscreen should be done by the SD bbq.. In the process of adding some more Alpine audio pieces as well...
Good luck with your install,
