Default gps unit question

Im thinking of getting one of those lcd rear view mirrors with back up cameras. They have a lcd so i assume it can recieve signals from a device. I was wondering waht would be the cheapest way to hook up a gps to this screen? Like one of those in car navigations would that be possible? Whats the best solution for this? I want to keep my headunit so i didnt not want to buy the eclipse avn. Are there a touchscreen rear view mirror out there yet? thanks

At this time, why not just use a portable GPS unit? That's what I use. I just attach the GPS with the suction cup holder to the windshield and off I go!
