How are Halo lights made? Like how do you get the halo around the lightbulb?

Is it possible to just purchase Halo lights. I don't mean like headlights that are halo but just the actual Halo light bulb?

The halo is either a led or scratched or etched glass will reflect light so the plastic is made to reflect the light around in a ring. I think that is it but i could be wrong like usual

there are some tech articles floating around the net, D.I.Y guide to making halo headlights. Try a google search for it, i came across the article once but i dont remember the address.

i believe it is a platic ring, possibly hollow, and a led sends light through it.

i've seen some dude make em out of regular led's and the clear plastic rods from the venitian blinds curtain things. to get the rods round he put them in an oven for a bit the bent them around something round like a can (ofcourse it would have to be the same circumference as the headlight/lens you want it to go around) to get the light to refract around the ring you'd have to get a dremel or something to scribe lines across the rod. if someone looked really hard on the net i bet you'd find his instructions. he did it on a crx
