My shop used the storage bucket on the right to make a sub enclosure. Dulanic has it. sub was angled out of the corner.

Well, i started this project but because of the constant rains here in SoCal I haven't been able to finish it up.

So far I have run the powerline for the amp and I have sound deadened the trunk area (the entire trunk area) with some spray on stuff. Now, I am hoping that I will be able to use just the spare tire area of the trunk for the box, amp, and cap; and still keep the storage bins in there. Not that they are great, but what the hell.

I will have pics when I am done and I will be posting them.

Thx Fujiz and Jim,

We scrapped the storage on the right side and had a sub enclosure built there. It is around .65 cu. ft., and we installed a Rockford 8" sub in it. We then put the cargo floor back down, and supported it on the box.
We installed a Rockford 350 watt amp under the passenger seat (perfect fit) and ran that to the sub. The amp also has a sub level comtroller which we installed above the cigarette lighter in the lit pocket.
Since we were using the stock radio and speakers, we just turned the bass to -4, treble to +3, and set it to Feel on the xB.
It sounds great, and way better than $599 should get you.

I can post some pictures if you would like.

Pics would be great if it's not too much trouble. I think I am pretty locked in, but it's always great to see what other people have done.

Thanks Jumbo!

well....technically i didn't do it....he's wanting the subs that are mounted in the spare tire well....in my setup the box is too big to fit so i had to remove the spare tire and acessories in the trunk floor......I'll be building a false floor and amp rack once the weather gets better.....

Here are some pictures for you guys. Sorry for the mess in the car. With customers in and out of it all day, it's tough to keep clean like I would like it!

I hope that everyone can access these.
