Default head rest trouble in my envy green xb

i have a question if anyone can answer?my head monitors go on when you first start the car but couple mins later they turn and if you hit the power button nothing happensits been working for 3 month with new headunit now is not.i had changed the stock head unit and had a guy that installed it check the wires and every thing working and theres power.since there is only that one wire that go's to the box by the glove anyone think that the box that send power and stuff is broken?if anyone with the envy green xb with trouble with there monitors post please.if there is any other people that put there dvd headunits in there envy green.dont know what to do dont know if scion dealer can help since i took out the stock unit anyone know?

If the problem is with the aftermarket HU, then putting it back to stock and having the dealer look at it won't fix the issue.

Maybe try hooking them up to the stock unit just to check if they work with that. If not, try contacting visualogic. They should stand behind their product and hopefully can help you with trouble shooting. They helped me out when I had an issue with the audio on one of my headsets.

Try this-- press and hold the menu button on the headrest unit for 10 seconds. You will now be in a setup sub-menu for the monitor. Press the menu button to move from item to item, and use the arrow up/down buttons to select an item. Make sure the units did not change where they get their default input from, and you can also check the powerup mode of the units (auto on when car start, auto on only if left on, or need to be manually turned on). That is all I can think of checking before contacting vizualogic.

that didnt work but was good to know that the stuff was there there just like have no poewr to them cant get them to power back up

well called vizualogic today they think that the av box is bad so have to let dealer look at it on friday.hope its just that just so weird that its shuting out after couple of mins.

so went to dealer and they said since after market is in there i void warrety.so got on the phone with alpine and Vizualogic.they are saying that they will not work with any after market head unit.because it need the alpine dvd head unit to work.i was told that the way they wired it at toyota that you cant tap into it or get different av box and no other wires would work to the av box.they say that av box is only made to work with the dvd player and was change by toyota so you cant change it .so if anyone see this def would like some help i think scion ____ed us. anyone good at installs or had changed there out and have you had trouble with it.please leave replay thnx people.

That's weird. I my old RS3, my ex had changed out the headunit and we had no problem with the screens. And I still think they are running fine since the last time I talked to my ex...

do you know how they ran the av wire to the after market head unit?did they tap into it so the wireless headphones could work?
